Getting to Faversham Folk Club

The Limes (formerly The Chimney Boy) public house (in Preston Street, Post Code ME13 8PG for those of you who want to access a mapping programme or to use GPS navigation), where all regular meetings are held, is approximately a one minute walk from Faversham Railway Station (turn left out of the main station entrance and then take the first road on the right. You can already see the pub sign a few yards down the road on the left hand side.) Meetings are held in the upstairs room - Unfortunately there is no lift so the stairs must be climbed.

Drinks can be bought in the bar downstairs, so there is no bar noise in the club room

To get to the Limes public house by road from the M2 (when travelling west), take the A251 (Faversham and Ashford) exit towards Faversham. Turn left at the A2 and then immediately right into a wide tree-lined road (The Mall). After about 100 yards (opposite the Elephant PH) the main route obviously turns left. Follow it as it bears right, goes under the railway and then bears right again past the Co-op Welcome store. Take the first left (before you reach the station) The Chimney Boy is about 100 yards down on the left. You can park outside if there is room. There is also a very small car park to the rear of the pub. Alternatively continue past the pub for about 100 yards to the next turn to the left, which you are again forced to follow. Having turned left take the first right which goes into a large corporation car park, which is free in the evenings.

If approaching Faversham along the A2, drive along the A2 to the Mall (on the North Side) and follow the above route.

If approaching Faversham from Ashford, cross the M2 and follow the detailed route above.
